FOX TEETH

Hailing from the outskirts of New York City in Central Jersey, Fox Teeth was formed by lead singer/guitarist Sawyer Rich in 2018. After attending Warped Tour that year, Rich, an esteemed creative whose talents encompass photography, film, and graphic design, sought out to tap that creative energy into music. At first, the project was inspired by indie-rock band Foxing, with the band name being a parody of one of Rich's first musical inspirations. However, the songwriter's friends and family were quick to notice the dormant talent that lied within Rich and encouraged the guitarist to pursue a serious sound. After self-releasing and self-producing two EPs including Poets and Ghosts, Rich recruited bassist Reynold Beaton and drummer Andrew Romanowski to begin writing a more mature and developed body of work. With chemistry present from the first practice sessions, the band officially began working together in 2019. Their first single, Donnie Darko, amassed 1,000 streams in its first weekend and was met with excitement within the New Jersey music scene. Following this single, the band put out Yellow Houses on July 17th, 2020 to much excitement among peers and new listeners, quickly reaching 5,000 streams in its first month. The band released their third single, Voicemail on August 28th as the final promotional single from their debut album, "Tite!" to be released this Fall 2020.
